Positive: It's a beautiful, "modern rustic" decor. Very conveniently located on a beautiful shore of Lake Superior. There's a nice path to the lake and a gorgeous view. We had dinner in their onsite restaurant that evening to celebrate our anniversary. It was a lovely spot for the occasion! We had excellent drinks and dinners, and they are reasonably priced. Service was great too!

Positive: Staff was excellent. Food excellent. Need signage to direct to elevators, restrooms and restaurant. Restaurant very pretty with Great Lake view. Lobby very welcoming and wonderful receptionist.
Negative: Lack of signage as no one is around to ask questions. The bathroom toilet was loose and very , very low to the ground. My parents needed assistance to get on and off the toilet. The halls are dark.

Positive: The location was beautiful and the check-in person was able to help us upgrade to a room with a view. The extra touches like the beverages and popcorn in the lobby were nice. Cleaning crew were very efficient.
Negative: The rooms have had some upgrades but are still a little dark (wall bed lamps didn't work) and dated. The mattresses were soft and lumpy. The place was quite empty so the front desk people didn't even look up when we passed by. I forced one guy at the front desk to say hello to me one morning by stopping and making eye contact with him. The dining experience was very grim. Two wait people were handling it all and our waitress looked a little put out when we appeared for our reservation. When I asked about one meal item's ingredients, she said (and I quote) "I don't know. The cook is Mexican." (Um, could you find out?) I just looked at her and she said "I'm sorry - I don't know anything about that dish - I mean, all the people I work with are internationals and don't speak English." We were floored. Really? What does that matter? She could still try talking to them! The young man who seated us seemed to be much more helpful and we wished he was our waiter. Your staff needs some training and I suggest the person we had needs another kind of work. The food, however, was very good!

Positive: It’s a beautiful location. The rooms are nice and luxurious. Love how you can walk out to the beach area and enjoy Lake Superior. Loved the fire pits and games they have right on site.
Negative: I didn’t dislike anything about the property.

Positive: It was a big place and a beautiful setting on Lake Superior. The room had a double jacuzzi that was awesome!
Negative: The food was terrible! I ordered the walleye and the fish was cold and there was an orange sauce on the burnt filet that had no flavor. They must precook the walleye and are supposed to heat it up. They brought me the food back and the walleye was heated up. And my husband had the beer battered fish and French fries. The fish was doughy! It was not cooked through. The manager gave us dessert on the house. I think it’s a beautiful place and the staff are nice! They need a chef in that place to make it exceptional!
